Hi Sandy, I am so pleased and honored to see the Lithuanian Ethnic Booth at the Illinois State Fair! Although I will not be attending because I live in Bay Village, Ohio, I congratulate you for spreading the Lithuanian culture. The Lithuanian counter to the Polish Pirogies is “Kuldunai” which are stuffed with either mushrooms or ground beef orf pork or cottage cheese then boiled and served with either sour cream or fried bacon and onions. Yum!

And a kugelis is for me. Thanks, Sandy, the Lithuanian booth meant so much to my mom back in the day.

My wife and I along with my sister, Grazina, enjoyed the day at the fair. Could not pass up the pierogis and kielbasa to make the day complete.
