Marita Zuraitis, the new president and CEO-Elect of Horace Mann Educators Corp., bears the Lithuanian surname of her husband, one of our newest Lithuanian-Americans in Springfield (whose grandfather immigrated from Lithuania to Connecticut.)

The Zuraitises recently arrived in Springfield from Worcester, Mass.

Ms Zuraitis previously held executive positions at The Hanover Insurance Group.

Prior to joining the The Hanover, Ms. Zuraitis was with The St. Paul/Travelers Companies for six years, where she achieved the position of president and chief executive officer, commercial lines. She also held a number of underwriting and field management positions with USF&G and Aetna Life and Casualty.
